Qala’s simplest form is as a general content management system (CMS). Qala CMS is perfect for non-transactional websites such as business or informational websites. Qala still offers significant advantages over vanilla WordPress when used in this way.

Qala Settings

Qala settings can be found in the WordPress menu on the left. As you can see from the screenshot below, there are tabs to manage a number of site-wide settings. These are adapted to the Qala theme.

Header

Creates a header above the menu shown below. There are settings to
include a language selector, information or a login link.

Under footer you can change information, what will be displayed in the footer. All
from contact details to social media. Just with a simple click on
shift bar.

Contact

This information is global and is used in the footer.

Information bar

The information bar appears just below the menu (see “Header” image above). This
can be used to provide important messages to website visitors.

USP bar

The USP field can be used to highlight important features/benefits/facts for
website visitors. These can be configured in different ways.

Google

Google verification code. This is used to verify the domain against Google’s
search console.

Google Maps API Key is required by Google to include a Google Map on
the website. This key is used to display the map if you want it on your
website. Make sure you have enabled both Places API and Maps API in your
Google settings.

Shop

Allows basic configuration of main store page behavior.

404 page

The 404 page is the page shown to a visitor if they try to visit a non-existent one
web address. This can be configured with a custom header, text and image.

Social media

Shown in the footer.

Payment gateways

Shown in the footer.

External services validation

Allows you to add verification codes for e.g. Google Search Console.
